Overview: Regular rainfall during the growing season and a warm dry autumn combined with low cropping level have produced a ripe and generous wine.Grapes: 100% PinotageRegion: Gimblett Gravels - Hawke`s BayWinemaker: Adam HazeldineRecommended Food: Sweet-fruited and smooth on the palate it makes a good partner for a pepper steak pan-fried medium rare and served with shoestring fries.Recommended Cellaring: 2-6 yearsProduction Notes : The grapes were harvested on the 31st of March crushed and fermented on skins. Frequent pump-overs during ferment aided the extraction of colour and tannin. The wine was then run off into a blend of new and old American oak.
